About
Welcome to Omie's Coffee Shop and Roastery, an inviting gem nestled at 2300 N Roxboro St in Durham, North Carolina. This charming coffee shop has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. With its bright and cozy atmosphere, Omie's is designed to be more than just a place to grab a quick cup of coffee; it’s a community hub where conversations flourish and creativity thrives.
As you step inside, the delightful aroma of freshly roasted coffee envelops you. Guests rave about the in-house roaster, ensuring that each sip of coffee is rich and aromatic. From well-balanced cappuccinos to innovative seasonal lattes, like the beloved PB&J latte, the menu showcases a range of expertly crafted beverages that are sure to please any coffee aficionado.
One customer, Alyssa Benziger, encapsulated the experience perfectly, saying Omie's offers "out of this world" lattes that are both espresso-forward and bursting with creative flavors. This commitment to quality drinks is complemented by a warm and friendly staff dedicated to enhancing your visit.
Omie's isn't just about the coffee; it also caters to the needs of the community. With ample seating for group meetings, cozy corners for children’s books, and reliable Wi-Fi, it creates a perfect environment for both work and leisure. Customers like Jessie Carty have found it to be an ideal spot for productivity, despite a few navigational challenges with parking.
But the charm doesn't stop there. Omie's is on a mission to be environmentally conscious, boasting a near zero-waste policy. Their large accessible bathroom adds to the convenience, making it a lovely choice for anyone looking to relax or catch up on work. The inviting atmosphere is enriched by large windows, filling the space with natural light, which keeps the vibe light and refreshing.
Although the parking can be a bit tricky, especially during peak hours, dedicated patrons can utilize nearby options like King's for an easier experience. As Emerson Jakes noted, the cozy space can get filled up quickly, making it harder to find that perfect nook, but this only adds to the nurturing community feel that Omie's embodies.
Whether you're driving through Durham or a resident looking for a new favorite spot, Omie's Coffee Shop and Roastery promises a delightful experience. With their delightful drinks, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, it's hard not to feel at home here. Stop by, indulge in a meticulously crafted coffee, and soak in the vibrant community spirit. You won’t be disappointed!
“ I drive by here all the time and I’m so glad I stopped in. It’s such a bright, cute and cozy place. I tried this cola-espresso drink and it was oddly satisfying! There are two separate rooms that branch off to the left and right of the front entrance area. It seems to cater very well to the community with a welcoming and inclusive space: plenty of seating for group meetings, a book corner for children, tables/outlets for laptops, and a bulletin board for postings and happenings. I will most definitely be coming back! Also, thanks to the in-house roaster, it smells amaaaaaaazing here!!! ”
“ Coffee first place, well balanced cappuccino, plenty of seating, great staff, and beautiful latte art. Easy coffee stop on my way passing through, highly recommend. ”
“ Omie's is a neighborhood gem that I am so grateful we have! The lattes are out of this world- espresso forward, but with great and creative flavors. The PB&J latte is my current favorite and I keep going back for more. Parking can be a bit difficult in their lot, but keep in mind that you can park at King's which makes it much easier. I also bought one of their bags of coffee and they will grind it to your specified size in house which was a wonderful perk. I will continue to go back regularly! Thank you for always making my day with the best lattes, Omie's! ”
“ I needed to take a work call and grab something to drink, so I picked the closest coffee shop with the best rating, and I was not disappointed! The way I came in off the highway had the shop on my right, but I passed it the first time as the signage doesn't stand out if you aren't from the area. Coming back from the left made getting in and finding a parking space a little difficult. The layout of the shop is nice, and I found a great spot to get some work done and enjoy my matcha lemonade (Cabbage Patch Kid) and blueberry scone. I'm not sure if it was the WiFi or my laptop, but I did have some trouble with my video call. But, hey, it is free LOL Service was friendly, but I was surprised I was not offered a warmed up scone. Not sure if that is an option. Would definitely stop in again the next time I'm passing through! ”
“ I love Omie's. Their seasonal drinks are so creative and delicious (and they have decaf espresso upon request!). Their baristas are very nice. They have delicious baked goods. They're zero/near zero waste. They have a large accessible bathroom. There are so many beautiful windows and the space is very bright. Their parking lot is difficult to navigate/enter & exit and I wish there was more comfy seating (I always find that area mostly full) but that's not really in their control. This is my go-to coffee shop. I really appreciate how quiet and chill it is in there. ”
“ Such a cute coffee shop! The employees were very nice and the coffee was really good. We also thought the cups were cool, very unique. Definitely try out the PB and J latte if you can! Would recommend. ”
“ Quiet, and tucked away in an unassuming building. The coffee here is very very good! The shots were pulled nicely, and the lattes have the right balance of flavor and the right milk/coffee ratio. I got the Mabel and I normally don’t like much lavender but this drink was perfectly balanced. I highly recommend coming here! ”
“ We were passing through on our way to Virginia and it was so good that we made a point to stop on our way back. Love that it is wheelchair accessible and they limit their plastic waste when possible! ”
